I want to build a home

Things I make

I want to build a home,
Build it on the stars;
A porcelain house made of beauty marks and scars.

I want to build a home
On the water, in the sea
Right between the waves, where the salty wind will cradle me.

I want to build a home
A house made of sand
In an imaginary place of yet untrodden land.

I want to build a home –
Not a palace, nor a castle,
Just a quiet little place to hide from the hassle

Because people are tiring, and selfish and vain
And from all the love I’ve given
I have had no love to gain.
