Warm Scents & Home Essentials

Beauty / Shopping

Since I’ve yet to organize all my things from NYC, here is a summary of my recent shopping haul upon returning to Rome. The house was closed up for three weeks, I used up all of my bath products while travelling, I bought a ton of new cosmetics and clothes while traveling… which means three basic needs: candles, hangers, cases and shower goodies!

My trip took me a total of one hour, in the rain, pretty much running and texting at the same time. All the places I needed to go were around the same area in Rome, so I managed to do it all in an… almost straight line. This post, however, is organized in themes! First of all…

Shower goodies:

Gift box from LUSH, including “Popcorn” Lip Scrub, “Vanilla Dee-Lite” Body Lotion, “Ro’s Argan” Body Conditioner and “It’s Raining Men” Shower Gel along with a solid soap, lotion and massage oil.

Bottega Verde organic supplies - Ginseng shampoo and conditioner for frequent hair washing (that's me alright) and volumising fluid for curly hair.

Candles & Home goodies:

Bottega Verde and MUJI are quite affordable and LUSH was on sale, while Millefiori and Laura Mercier are personal favourites and worth spending money on. I’m usually a product-hopper but I’m on my third bottle of Almond & Coconut Shower Cream now. I’ve been using Philosophy‘s “Christmas Cookie” while I didn’t have time to run out and get more LM, which has an almost sinfully delicious smell.

You can order Bottega Verde, MUJI, LUSH and Millefiori products on their respective websites; the first three have international pages so you can order from pretty much anywhere on Earth.

  1. Thanks for the great product ideas. I am addicted to bath and beauty products and always on the look out for new options. I love the candles in this piece and will be ordering on line since I don’t have a trip to Rome in the near future … unfortunately!
