Prague in Colour – May ’14

So I had a massive introduction written for this post which got completely erased when I tried to insert the pictures (thank you WordPress). Now I’m a bit out of patience so I’ll keep it short.

Back in May 2014, Gabriele and I did our first little trip together to Prague. It was cold, we had to buy coats at Zara. We ate hotdogs in the street, I got drunk at a place called “Zombie Bar” because I had no idea whiskey could be so strong. We were nearly kicked out of the Decorative Arts Museum and Gabriele had an argument in half-Italian half-Czech with an old lady who tried to get his coin out of the locker with a pointy knife. I bought him his first film camera in the most wonderful shop where we had the most bizarre sales experience. We met the most hilarious restaurant waiter and spent an entire day in the hotel because of the rain. We went to a concert where people fell asleep around us and one man looked amazingly like Mr Spock.

I taught Gabriele how to use a film camera, convinced him to spend the rest of the vacation taking pictures and now he’s so damn good at it it makes me kind of jealous. He doesn’t agree with me, however, and wants his pictures nowhere online because he thinks they’re terrible. IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURES HE TAKES COMMENT ON THIS POST! Or on facebook! Or anywhere related to this blog so I can convince the man to make a joint photography Tumblr!

These were mostly taken with a Canon T50 in the first day and a Canon AE-1 in the following days. The black & white film is coming soon.

Gabri, if you’re reading this, I love you. I will never forget this trip and I can’t wait for the next one.
